Energy harvesting (EH) involves capturing energy that would otherwise be lost as heat, light, sound, vibration and uses this captured energy to improve efficiency and enable new technologies. IDTechEx predicts the global EH market will grow from $605m in 2010 to $4.4bn by 2020.
